Five of Chicago’s most renowned and talented top dance companies will come together for one spectacular evening of dance – on one stage! Participating companies include: The Joffrey Ballet, Ron De Jesus Dance, Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and River North Chicago Dance Company.
Celebrating it’s 20th anniversary Dance for Life will host two world premiere dances by renowned choreographers Harrison McEldowney and Randy Duncan.
This is the largest performance for AIDS fundraising event in the Midwest, and nearly $4 million has been raised since 1992. This event is held annually in efforts to raise awareness and funds for HIV/AIDS prevention and care programs. Proceeds benefit the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and the Dance for Life Fund.
The host for the evening will be Dean Richards, an Entertainment Critic and Reporter for WGN TV, Chicago; National Cable Channel, WGN America and News Talk 720, WGN Radio.
