MILWAUKEE (May 22, 2012) – Summerfest officials are excited to announce a new 45th Anniversary initiative in partnership with Discovery World to showcase the extensive history and memorabilia collected over the past forty-four years of Summerfest.  The 45th Anniversary Summerfest Tribute Exhibit will showcase “never before seen” Summerfest autographed memorabilia, historical photos, posters and promotional items.

The exhibit will open to the public on Thursday, May 24 and run through September 15, 2012.  Fest-fans are invited to the 45th Anniversary Summerfest Tribute Exhibit Kick-off Party on Thursday, May 24 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  There will be free live entertainment in the main entrance and everyone in attendance will receive a FREE 4th of July Summerfest General Admission ticket and 45th Anniversary t-shirt.  Discovery World will offer a special combined admission to view both the Summerfest Tribute Exhibit and Les Paul’s House of Sound Exhibit for only $5 on the evening of the party.

The Summerfest 45th Anniversary Exhibit Ticket Package includes one Summerfest General Admission ticket, good any time during Summerfest 2012, and one adult admission ticket to Discovery World, featuring the 45th Anniversary Summerfest Tribute exhibit.
